Our Office

Located adjacent to the iconic Severn Valley Railway in the historic market town of Bridgnorth, Shropshire, our office offers a unique and inspiring workspace. For those unfamiliar with Bridgnorth, it’s well worth a visit! The town is rich in history, with stunning views and architectural gems that attract visitors from all over.

Our office setting is unlike any other. Instead of typical urban views, we’re treated to sights of rare trains being restored and studied as they pass through the Severn Valley Railway’s repair yard.

In 2008, after 7 years at Lasyard house in Bridgnorth and offices in London, we embarked on an ambitious project when we purchased a single-storey industrial storage unit. The building, while structurally sound, was outdated and contaminated with asbestos, making it unfit for our growing architectural practice. However, our directors Matt and Vic saw the potential and took on the challenge of transforming this shell into something truly special.

The renovation began with a complete overhaul, removing all hazardous materials and reimagining the space from the ground up. We expanded vertically by adding a second storey, increasing the available space for our team of talented Shropshire architects. A flat green roof was incorporated into the design, not only for its sustainable and energy-efficient properties but also to blend harmoniously with the local environment.

Today, the upper floor serves as an open-plan workspace where our architects collaborate on exciting projects, while the ground floor has become a dynamic showroom and meeting area. Visitors are greeted with models of past and present projects, a tangible representation of the creativity and precision that goes into every design we create.

At our core, we thrive on overcoming architectural challenges, and this ethos was applied rigorously to our own office transformation. Just as we do for our clients, we approached our office renovation with innovation, precision, and sustainability in mind. What was once an asbestos-filled railway shed has evolved into a state-of-the-art headquarters for our architectural firm.

This transformation is not just a reflection of our skill but also a metaphor for what we aim to achieve in every project we undertake: breathing new life into spaces and enhancing the communities around them.
