But staying home to protect others has got its benefits, we can really consider how our spaces do and do not work for us and our families. Maybe you’d never noticed how the evening sunset falls through your living room windows, making them the perfect spot for a window seat. Maybe you’ve realised that there isn’t enough room in your kitchen for all the online workouts, schooling and sudden increase in baking for the family you have found yourself doing. Maybe you’ve realised it’s finally the right time for that extension you thought about five years ago…

While so many businesses are closed at the moment, Johnson Design Partnership is very much here to help you think about how you live compared to how you want to live. We reflect on how we can make this happen, offering options, advice and support.We are very happy to offer an initial virtual meeting free of charge to discuss your personal requirements. You can even ‘walk’ one of our Architects through your home to give them a feel for your space. Should you wish to go ahead following your meeting we can provide sketches, floor plans, and visualisations of potential designs. If you would like further support we can even provide further help step by step, from submitting for Planning Permission and applying for Building Regulations, to going out to tender and contract administration.

Many thanks to Johnson Design for delivering exactly what we wanted: A bright, flexible, modern space which brings the garden and the lovely views of the upper Corvedale into our home, without losing anything of the character and warmth of our historic stone farmhouse. The family home of nearly 30 years has been greatly enhanced, giving a perfect blend of old and new, and the perfect venue for entertaining and family get-togethers. We had plans done ready to go in case we got funding for my Gp surgery extension/ refurb from NHSE. This came very last minute with stipulations to use it before the end of the financial year. Johnson Design got all the necessary people in place and finalised quotes and palms in a very short timeframe and ensured that all conformed to NHS standards so that all went very smoothly. This involved ensuring that we could work at the site in portacabins.
The patients love our new building and the work thankfully enabled us to function very successfully through Covid.

They came up with an original concept and layout, moving the stairs was something we’d not even considered but it works really well. They then worked with us to accommodate our ideas, making the design collaborative. We looked at a couple of different Architect Practices whilst deciding on which to use for our house renovation, and immediately warmed to the team at Johnson Design Partnership Ltd. They were smart, professional, and following a visit to the property issued us with a comprehensive plan… We were both very impressed at the understanding and the detail that had gone in to finding out exactly what we wanted… Johnson Design Partnership handled the tender process with the Building contractors and again we were very happy with the choice that we made….
