This award seeks to reward companies which realise their responsibility to help protect the environment, and take a proactive approach to eco-friendly issues. The Shropshire Business Awards are in their 11th year and have established itself as the biggest event on the county’s corporate calendar, giving companies within the region the chance to celebrate their achievements.

Johnson Design were first short listed for the award in May and underwent a visit and interrogation by some of Shropshires leading 'eco-heads' shortly after. The awards ceremony took place on 3rd June 2011 where the winners would be announced and Johnson Design competed against three other companies in the bid to win the eco-accolade. In the end Johnson Design came in as runners up with Telford Laundry picking up the big prize.

Johnson Design will not be disheartened by such a result however, and pledge to continue to not only operate in an eco-efficient manner but also educate clients about eco-friendly architectural solutions and use contractors with environmentally responsible policies and systems.
